Earn your business diploma in only 3 years with the extended training offered with Option E

 

After completing their compulsory eduction, about two-thirds of Swiss students choose to take on a professional internship. This type of training combines educational theory and practice directly within a business environment while, above all, enabling Swiss students to quickly dive into the workforce. At Franzosini, it is possible to graduate in three years with our extended Option E internship (without the integrated professional certificaiton).

 

SA Luciano Franzosini offers young Swiss students who have earned a high school diploma numerous internship opportunities within a high-quality training program that caters to the aptitudes and interests of each individual.

We offer the chance to work in a youthful, dynamic and pleasant environment wherein we train interns to tackle diverse and challenging tasks. Our teachers will accompany and support students during their time here with the utmost dedication and professionalism.

 

During the internship, students will learn to do the following:

  • Interact with the entire work environment: management, colleagues, clients and suppliers, partners, Customs Administration official, etc.;
  • Obtain customs clearances for goods and products;
  • Manage customs warehouses and address various modern logistics problems;
  • Arrange for the shipment of goods;
  • Perform various administrative tasks: accounting, billing, banking, insurance, payroll, etc.;
  • Manage purchases and the selection of business partners for the acquisition of material goods;
  • Conduct day-to-day business: welcome customers, actively offer our services, manage offers and give advice.

 

Upon completion of the training, students will receive the National Certificate of Proficiency (AFC), which certifies that the student has fulfilled all the predetermined program requirements.

 

 

Salary (as indicated on the OCST website):

AFC business students specializing in logistics and spending:

830 Swiss francs for the first year, 1,020 Swiss francs for the second year and 1,200 Swiss francs for the third year for 13 months each year.

Interns are entitled to 5 weeks of vacation each year until they reach 20 years old.

 

Practical vocational training

Interns at SA Luciano Franzosini work at the company for 3 days a week during the first year, 2.5 days a week during the second year and four days a week during the third year. The practical business training is geared toward teaching students about day-to-day business activities and job-specific knowledge. Company instructors oversee the training of students, assign tasks according to DAP (learning and performance documents) guidelines, monitor performance, and establish work regulations.

 

Theoretical education

Students will attend vocational courses at the Professional Business Center (CPC) two days a week for the first year and 2.5 days a week for the second year. The vocational instruction includes general education and professional knowledge materials. Occasionally, theoretical courses will be accompanied by practical exercises.

 

Inter-industry courses (CI)

Introductory courses will be established with training centers for professional associations (SCI-Ticino). During these courses, interns will have the opportunity to refine the basic techniques of their profession.

 

What we expect from intern candidates:

  • High school diploma and the relevant coursework and grades for the integrated professional certificate;
  • The ability to work well in teams;
  • Seriousness, resourcefulness and passion.

 

Grade requirements

Candidates who have completed the required courses (Italian, English, German, mathematics, science, geography, history, physical education, and artistic and technical electives) with average grades or scores will be admitted under the condition they take the following additional required courses:

– With a grade or score of 4.30 (4.28), 2 aptitude courses are required;

– With a grade or score of 4.40 (4.39), 1 aptitude course is required;

– With a grade or score of 4.50, no aptitude courses are required.
