The ISO/IEC 27001 standard defines requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). For Franzosini, this means protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all managed data: customs documents, shipping data, client commercial information, personal data and confidential communications. The system covers both IT infrastructure and organisational processes.
In the logistics and customs operations sector, data management is critical. Commercial invoices, customs declarations, bills of lading, certificates of origin: every day Franzosini handles thousands of sensitive documents. ISO 27001 certification ensures these data are protected from unauthorised access, accidental loss and cyber breaches, through technical controls, operational procedures and continuous staff training.
The certification also covers consultancy, programming and development of cloud solutions for electronic data archiving (IAF Scope 33). The EVVDatacenter portal, used by over 1,000 client companies to access their customs documents, is an integral part of the certified perimeter.
