Felixstowe is the UK's largest container port, handling approximately 48% of national container traffic. In 2017, it was ranked as the 43rd busiest container port in the world and 8th in Europe, handling 3.85 million TEU.
The port handles RORO traffic from Europe and deep-sea container traffic from around the world. Franzosini & Butti offers customs clearance services at the port and at inland border facilities (ERTS), as well as support for IPaffs and GVMS.
Felixstowe is equipped for large container ships and has strong rail and road connections, as well as its own emergency services.
