We are looking for a Sales Assistant with experience in the transport and logistics sector to support commercial department activities, managing quotes, negotiations and contributing to business growth.
As Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial department's activities, managing quotes and negotiations, researching new clients and contributing to business growth. You will be a point of reference for clients and internal teams, working closely with Sales Managers to develop effective strategies. The position is based at the Chiasso headquarters, the operational heart of Franzosini SA where the company's commercial, operational and customs activities converge.
Sales strategies: Support the commercial area in defining and implementing sales strategies, collaborating with Management in negotiations with strategic clients and suppliers.
Quote and proposal management: Prepare and manage client proposals, analysing costs and services to formulate competitive offers. Handle quote requests from new potential clients (leads).
New client acquisition: Carry out research and development activities for the acquisition of new clients and markets, identifying growth opportunities and developing lasting business relationships.
Operational support: Support the management of complex shipments and monitor operational progress, ensuring compliance with quality standards and timelines agreed with the client.
Reporting and communication: Prepare periodic commercial reports and manage communication with clients and internal teams, ensuring a constant and transparent information flow.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the transport and logistics sector (freight forwarding, sales and pricing)
Knowledge of shipment management and planning processes
Ability to prepare transport quotes based on costs and margins
Italian: excellent written and spoken command
Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills
Excellent command of the Microsoft 365 suite and familiarity with freight management software (e.g. Daco/Fastlogistic)
Knowledge of German is considered a strong asset; language skills in French and English are also valued
Previous experience in pricing and cost analysis roles in the freight forwarding sector
