We are looking for a customs declarant with at least 3 years of experience for the complete management of import/export customs clearance dossiers at the Ponte Tresa and/or Stabio offices.
The customs declarant will be responsible for the complete preparation and management of import/export customs clearance dossiers, from document verification to administrative and accounting closure. You will work in collaboration with Swiss Customs, foreign correspondents, clients and suppliers, ensuring compliance with current regulations and operational deadlines. The position is available at the Ponte Tresa and/or Stabio offices, two strategic customs points for trade flows between Switzerland and Italy.
Customs dossier management: Complete preparation and management of import/export customs clearance dossiers, with document verification and regulatory compliance checks prior to clearance.
Customs declarations: Operational execution of customs declarations in compliance with procedures and deadlines, with control of fiscal and regulatory requirements and advance management with the accounting department.
Institutional collaboration: Collaboration with Swiss Customs, foreign correspondents, clients and suppliers to ensure the correct flow of customs operations and timely resolution of any issues.
Regulatory updates: Monitoring of customs regulatory changes and adaptation of operational practices, with digital document management and closure of administrative and accounting dossiers.
At least 3 years of experience as a customs declarant in Switzerland
Solid knowledge of Swiss customs regulations and import/export procedures
Competence in goods classification and application of customs tariffs
Knowledge of major customs and management software
Good command of main IT tools (Office, digital document management)
Precision, reliability and aptitude for teamwork
Knowledge of Italian; German or English considered a plus
Willingness to work extended hours based on operational needs
Customs declarant with federal certificate
Experience with DACO software (Fast Logistics)
